Since opening for business in 2007, Discovery Bay Insurance, Inc. has grown from a “scratch” agency, to currently managing over $10 million in annualized premiums.

Our History

Glenn Hoffman has been in the Insurance Industry since 1989 and has never looked back. Starting his Agency with his wife Melissa in 2007 just a few months after moving to Discovery Bay they set out to create their own destiny. Fast forward to today, they now have a true Family Business with their three children Christina, Brandon, and Glenn Jr. also all working for the Agency.

GLENN HOFFMAN

Glenn is very active in his community, currently sitting as President of the Discovery Bay Lions Club. His committment to local organizations garnered him the "Citizen of the Year" award by the Discovery Bay Chamber of Commerce. He is also a valued member of the "Save the California Delta Alliance".

Glenn grew up in Walnut Creek, and attended High School at Las Lomas. He graduated from a trade school at the top of his class in Wyoming, and subsequently learned that he had a great amount of talent for business and sales. He became involved in the insurance industry in 1987, through the vision of a man that recognized his talents. Glenn sold insurance independently, and then went on to work for Foundation Health and Health Net as an Account Executive. One of his clients entertained him into their agency to be a broker for them, and that is where Glenn recognized his business management skills and sales abilities. This catapulted him into opening up his own agency in Discovery Bay in 2007. Glenn has been married to his wife Melissa since 1985. They have two sons, Glenn Jr. and Brandon, as well as a grown daughter, Christina. They all enjoy entertaining, water sports and a passion for automobiles.

MELISSA HOFFMAN

Melissa was raised in Alamo, and attended San Ramon Valley High School. She raised a daughter and two sons with Glenn. The Family Insurance Agency is a passion that she enjoys, and that comes through in her customer service style. She definitely cares about each and every client that she serves. Melissa handles all of our business and life insurance policies. She believes that life insurance is the single most precious gift you can give your loved ones. Melissa & Glenn have a Tiny Toy Poodle that fills the empty spots in their nest as their children grow up and move out.

Christina grew up in Vacaville and is the oldest of Glenn and Melissa's children. She was married in 2007, moved to Discovery Bay a year later and just recently became a homeowner. Right after we opened our agency, we persuaded her to join our family team. Helping clients is a passion of hers and so we felt the personal lines department suited her best. As she grew into this position over the years, her positive attitude reflected on every person she touched throughout the day. We constantly hear she is a joy to work with and take pride in this. She enjoys her part time Jamberry Nails business on the side, volunteering with the Discovery Bay Lions Club, Crochet and crafts of all kinds. Something you might not know about her is that she is fluent in Spanish, having taken a brief class and then teaching herself over the course of the year to follow. It is this persistence and dedication that we cherish here in our business. Know that if you ever need her help, she will help you until the issue is resolved!

BRANDON HOFFMAN

Brandon was raised in Vacaville with his siblings and moved to Discovery Bay in 2006 with his Parents. He has worked from the ground up in the Agency since opening in 2007. He lives here in Discovery Bay and is dedicated to his clients. Brandon works directly with both the individual needing coverage as well as all of our Employers that provide group Benefits to their employees. He is very detailed which is truly needed in today's ever changing HealthCare Marketplace.
